Now What?
Select a travel date and time, contact the Sales Office to make a reservation.
Confirmation
A Sales Associate will provide a confirmation of your booking in the form of an agreement. A deposit of $150 is due upon booking to guarantee your reservation. Sign and return the agreement with the deposit. Final payment is due two weeks prior to departure date.
Cancellation Policy
Should the group need to cancel the entire reservation, the deposit is refundable with 30 days’ notice prior to departure. If the entire reservation is cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure, the group will forfeit the deposit of $150. If the entire reservation is cancelled less than 10 days prior to departure, the group will forfeit 50% of the contracted amount.
Who’s in Charge?
Each group will assign a Group Leader to handle communication and correspondence between the group and the Catalina Express Group Sales Representative. The Group Leader will be responsible for providing a manifest and handling the group tickets for the amount of passengers.
Keep in Touch
Group Leaders can change the amount of passengers any time prior to the departure date. You can add group members (based on space availability) or lower the passenger count. A final count is required by 3 pm the day prior to travel (by Friday for Saturday, Sunday and Monday travel).
What is a Manifest?
A manifest is a list of names, first and last, of everyone traveling in your group. Identify the age of those under 12 years old. Manifest must be brought to the ticket window at the time of check-in.
Don’t Miss the Boat
Be sure the group arrives one hour prior to departure. Gates close 5 minutes prior to departure time, ending the boarding process. Passengers not boarded prior to the boarding process ending will have forfeited their seats and will not be subject to a refund.
What to Bring?
Lighter is better. The baggage guidelines are two pieces of baggage no larger than 23”x23”x37” weighing no more than 50lbs and one carry-on no larger than 12”x12”x24”. Catalina is very casual, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a light jacket for the evening. Additional luggage guidelines for scuba diving, bikes and camping are available.
Let’s Go To Catalina Island!
Be sure to stress to group members which port the group is departing from and give them directions to the appropriate port. Daily parking is $20 (San Pedro) ‐ $24.95 (Long Beach) ‐ $20 (Dana Point).
